Resilience-Based Intervention: Now Available for Licensing

The Stein Institute for Research on Aging is proud to offer our evidence-based Resilience Intervention, developed to enhance resilience, wisdom, compassion and self-compassion in older adults. Rooted in a decade of research,  this manualized program equips individuals with practical tools to strengthen resilience, manage stress, and maintain a sense of purpose—key components of healthy aging.

Why Resilience Matters

Resilience is a critical factor in healthy aging. Research shows that individuals with higher levels of resilience:

  • Live longer
  • Have stronger immune function
  • Experience better physical health
  • Report lower rates of depression and anxiety
  • Show greater life satisfaction and emotional stability

Building resilience isn’t just about bouncing back—it’s about cultivating long-term well-being, especially in the face of aging-related challenges. Our intervention offers a research-based path to achieving these outcomes.

Proven Across Settings

The Resilience Intervention has been found effective in:

  • One-on-one and group formats
  • In-person and remote delivery models
  • Diverse settings, including clinics, senior centers, universities, and community programs

It has been successfully tested and implemented in the United States, England, and Israel, demonstrating adaptability.

Program Highlights

  • Evidenced based and published in peer-reviewed journals
  • Flexible and adaptable curriculum suitable for various delivery settings
  • Includes facilitator training, participant materials, and structured session guides
  • Designed for older adults but adaptable for broader adult populations
